Job Description
The Strategic Infrastructure and Sustainability section is a key component of the Asset Management and Delivery Branch within the Education Directorate. This branch is responsible for providing strategic facility and asset management for a diverse portfolio of ACT public schools and Education Directorate facilities.
Role Overview
The Senior Director will manage the Strategic Infrastructure and Sustainability section, developing strategies and policies to ensure that assets are constructed and maintained at an acceptable level of risk and cost. This includes the development and maintenance of the Education Directorate's strategic asset management plan and framework, as well as environmental sustainability strategies.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement strategies for asset management and environmental sustainability.
* Manage the development and maintenance of the Education Directorate's strategic asset management plan and framework.
* Liaise with stakeholders to identify and prioritize infrastructure needs.
* Lead a team of professionals in the provision of asset management and sustainability services.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will require:
* A relevant professional qualification in Engineering, Architecture or Project Management.
* Accreditation with a professional body recognised within Australia.
* Significant building or infrastructure knowledge and/or project management experience.
Working Arrangements
This position will be based in a new workplace designed for activity-based working (ABW). Under ABW arrangements, officers will not have a designated workstation/desk. Opportunities for flexible working options may include hybrid working, part-time hours, job-sharing, flexible start and finish times.
