#527811 Administration OfficerDepartment of Palliative CareCalvary Mater NewcastleCasualSalary Classification: Administration Officer Level 2, Year 1-2Remuneration: $31.20-$32.24 per hour + Superannuation + salary packing optionsTHE ROLE:Calvary Mater Newcastle (CMN) is seeking a Casual Administration Officer to join our casual pool to provide you with the opportunity to work across multiple departments within the hospital.DUTIES:Meeting and greeting staff, patients, and visitors using a friendly and professional manner.Identifying self and department in a friendly manner when communicating by telephone.Providing timely assistance when assistance is sought.Typing in a timely and efficient manner.Presenting correspondence accurately and professionally.Ensuring patient charts and related information are readily accessible and kept up to date (if required).Proficiency in Microsoft Suite.General administrative tasks related to the day-to-day running of the hospital. ABOUT YOU:Ability to function within a health care environment with a proven ability to work independently, as part of a multidisciplinary team, and with people at all levels.Working knowledge of medical terminology or certificate holder (if required).Demonstrated word processing, database, and spreadsheet skills (competence level and range of skills as requested by various departments).Experience in undertaking routine correspondence and administrative procedures.Understanding of and adherence to the principles of privacy and confidentiality in respect of hospital matters for patients and staff.Effective time management and demonstrated organisational skills.Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
