The Role
Employment services is a people business, and we focus on people first. Create relationships with your caseload and to assist them to address non-vocational challenges with a view to improving their employment capability. Be curious rather than judgmental to assess clients for non-vocational barriers to employment, develop a support plan and coordinate appropriate referrals.
Collaborate with Sureway's Employment Services staff and Counselling Team to improve the social, psychological, and health barriers that impact on our clients’ employment capability.
This position based in Bathurst or Orange will service the Central West region, the role requires some travel and overnight stay, telehealth servicing can be done between periods of travel. A company car will be provided to you for travel.
A relevant qualification in Social Work or Counselling is required along with membership to the relevant professional association (AASW, PACFA or ACA).
Duties
· Assess clients for non-vocational barriers to employment
· Collaborate with clients to develop their support plan and facilitate referrals to local service providers
· Meet with clients regularly to review progress and determine further action required
· Work in partnership with Employment Services staff to enable employment outcomes
· Follow-up with appointments and maintain accurate records
· Meet KPIs and complete administrative duties as required
