Your Opportunity: To provide expert clinical and patient-centred care within a hospital environment by supporting the facilitation and provision of quality and cost-effective nursing services which are consistent with contemporary standards and evidence-informed practice.What we're looking for: Demonstrated comprehensive knowledge of contemporary nursing practice within a hospital environment and the ability to apply advanced professional judgement and critical thinking to negotiate complex clinical requirements and to appropriately manage patient-centred care requirements.Demonstrated ability to comprehensively lead and co-ordinate hospital Department activities on a shift-by-shift basis, working effectively and consistently under pressure, providing timely and judicious advice to professional and operational colleagues, managers, and other key stakeholders regarding patient care, patient flow and service capability.Maintains a professional development profile and facilitates an environment that encourages lifelong learning, mentoring and support for colleagues.Demonstrated advanced management and organisational skills including advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, professional engagement in change management, risk management skills, information management tools and systems, people management, including negotiation, communication and conflict resolution skills.Developing ability to lead and manage a portfolio with agreed key performance indicators.Demonstrated proficient knowledge of information management tools including demonstrated ability to use patient and staff information systems appropriate to the position.Knowledge of and a demonstrated commitment to quality business processes and evidence-informed practices, identifying areas for improvement and contributing to these improvements including nursing research.Preferred Qualifications: Mandatory possession of a nursing qualification from a registered tertiary institution or completion of an approved hospital training program and Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency with a current annual practicing certificate is essential.Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and if applicable registration or membership with the appropriate registration authority or association. Certified copies of the required information must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/manager, prior to the commencement of clinical duties.Possession of context-specific postgraduate qualification in nursing is highly desirable.A minimum of 5 - 7 years Nursing experience is highly desirable.Why join us? You will receive a competitive remuneration package valued up to $131,900 p.a., comprising salary between $107,960 - $115,604 p.a. (f/t) or salary between $54.45 - $58.30 p.h. (p/t), employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (Nurse Grade 6 (1)) (Several Permanent Full Time, 76 hours p.f. and Permanent Part Time Positions, hours negotiable) (Applications will remain current for 12 months).
