We are seeking a dedicated Electorate Officer to support Ms Kendall Morton, Member for Caloundra, and engage with our vibrant community!

Your primary objectives will be to:
Provide direct secretarial, executive, and administrative support to Ms Morton MP. Support and engage with constituents and community groups. Manage the general administration of the daily operations of the electorate office. Your duties and responsibilities as an Electorate Officer will include:
Executive and Administrative Support: Assist in the preparation of information to support the Member's parliamentary responsibilities (e.g., briefing notes, Questions on Notice, general research, etc.), establish information systems to capture and communicate important information, and evaluate and file incoming information on a range of issues such as changes to government policy and procedures.
Media Management: Monitor media and community issues, handle media requests.
Travel Coordination: Coordinate travel, manage travel claims, and maintain accurate records and data entry of expenses.
Community Engagement: Manage enquiries from constituents and community groups, provide information on public services and policies, develop community networks, conduct research on constituent issues, and coordinate community meetings and events.
Your key strengths will be:
Previous experience in a parliamentary or local government office is advantageous. Strong organisational and time management skills. Advanced written and oral communication skills. Strong leadership and team motivation skills. Strong interpersonal skills to liaise with diverse groups. Good knowledge of Queensland political and current affairs or willingness to learn.
