Our Wagerup Refinery has a permanent opportunity for a Laboratory Technician to join the team on a 10.3hour-day shift roster!
Reporting to the Chemical Services Manager, you will complete routine maintenance and the coordination of specialist services to ensure instrument, equipment and laboratory services are maintained, as determined by the work schedule and as requested.
Key activities of the role include:
1. Laboratory equipment, instrument and services maintenance.
2. Liaison with equipment and instrument specialists
3. Ordering of laboratory consumables.
4. Maintaining equipment calibrations and quality control systems.
5. Provision of analytical services and solutions preparation.
6. Contributing to budget management and business planning processes.
7. Assisting with implementation of laboratory improvement activities and projects.
About you
To play a part in our ongoing success we are seeking someone with:
8. A certificate in Laboratory Practices, or other qualification with Laboratory expertise such as Bachelor Science.
9. Extensive experience working in a production laboratory environment.
10. Experience in analytical procedures such as Gas Chromatography, XRF analysis and ICP analysis, considered advantageous.
11. Demonstrated knowledge of LIMS and a variety of laboratory analytical equipment.
