At Uniting, we are committed to supporting young people facing homelessness and housing instability. Our Youth Services teams provide essential casework, advocacy, and practical support to empower young people to build brighter futures.
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Casework Support Worker to join our Doorways Program in Dubbo on a casual basis. This role offers Monday to Friday availability with up to full-time, supporting young people aged 16-23 who are homeless or at risk.
About you in the Role
As a Casework Support Worker, you will work alongside caseworkers and the broader team to:
Transport young people to essential appointments, including housing, Centrelink, and rental inspections. Provide practical, hands-on support to help young people achieve their case plan goals. Assist in conducting intakes and case reviews. Support the delivery of internal group programs for young people. Help set up and participate in community events, fostering engagement and connection. Maintain accurate case notes and documentation in the CIMS system. Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, contributing to a holistic and person-centred approach. About You
Has experience working with young people facing homelessness or complex needs. Is passionate about youth homelessness, with a strong commitment to social justice and advocacy. Understands trauma-informed practice and the challenges young people face. Can work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Has maturity and professional boundaries.
