About the role
As the successful applicant, you will be committed to delivering high quality primary mental health and Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) interventions for young people aged 12-25 with mental health and wellbeing concerns.
You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team, consisting of a general practitioner allied health and nursing staff to facilitate the provision of coordinated clinical care and treatment.
The key objectives of this role are:
* To provide intake, screening, initial care coordination and assessment
* To provide evidenced informed counselling interventions tailored to the needs of young people and their families
* To discuss and direct to other service linkages outside headspace as required
Please note the Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) for this role is negotiable to suit your own personal and professional goals (0.2 FTE minimum).
You will have the opportunity to enter a private contract if suitably accredited in order to deliver private consultations via the Medicare Benefit Scheme either at headspace Colac or via telehealth.
