About your opportunity:
Fixed term temporary part-time
64 hours per fortnight, commencing ASAP up to 01/09/2024
52 hours per fortnight up to 23/01/2025 with the possibility of extension, not exceeding 12 months
The Enrolled Nurse is an associate to the Registered Nurse to provide patient/client centred nursing care under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse and in accordance with the Practice Standards as identified by the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Board.
The ideal applicant will be someone who has proven ability and can demonstrate the following:
1. Ability to contribute to assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of person-centred nursing care under the delegation of the registered nurse/midwife.
2. Ability to work as an effective member within a multidisciplinary team.
3. Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with the multidisciplinary team, patients and their families.
4. Ability to use or learn to use information systems appropriate to the position.
5. Ability to demonstrate own ongoing professional development.

Candidate Requirements:
11. Proof of qualification, registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and possession of a current practising certificate.
12. Highly Desirable: Evidence of completion of modules related to medication administration and peripheral intravenous therapy.
13. Shift Workers: Appointees will be required to work all shifts in accordance with the unit roster, which will include participation in an on-call roster.
14. This is a Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) risk role: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and Pertussis.
15. Possession of class C drivers' licence.
16. Travel: Travel is a requirement of this position.
