Air Quality Engineering Scientist - (24142630)The Air Quality Engineering Scientist performs unique analyses, calculations, and professional functions essential to the implementation of the air quality program in the state of Montana. Responsibilities include:Review to determine, prescribe, and assess the design and implementation of structures, devices, systems, and processes that meet air pollution compliance and control regulations;Analysis to determine whether facilities, equipment, and industrial processes are constructed and operated in compliance with air quality rules and permit requirements;Review and implementation of state and federal statutes, rules, and policies;Acting as a liaison for the Department to the public and industry on air quality matters.At the Department of Environmental Quality, our ultimate goal is to champion a healthy environment for a thriving Montana.
