The Business Unit Manager is responsible for overseeing the operations, strategy and performance of the Dermatology business unit, where you can transform modern marketing communications to deliver exceptional customer experiences, inspire your team, and make a significant positive impact on the patients we serve. The role requires strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of the market dynamics, working closely with cross-functional teams to drive business growth, ensure customer satisfaction, and achieve financial objectives.KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIESProvide visionary leadership and strategic direction to the marketing and sales teams.Drive the development and implementation of cutting-edge marketing strategies.Help lead and coach the sales team to optimise performance and achieve sales objectives.Gather, analyse and synthesise data to generate impactful insights that drive action.Foster effective collaboration across various departments.Oversee financial planning, including budgeting, forecasting, and P&L management.Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the success of business initiatives.Identify new business opportunities, market trends, and potential challenges.Build and nurture high-performing teams.Report any adverse event within 24 hours as per AbbVie’s policies and procedures.Proactively participate in AbbVie’s WHS programs.Adhere to AbbVie’s internal codes of conduct and compliance processes.Other ad hoc duties as requested.QualificationsTertiary qualification with Marketing/Business or Science disciplines or equivalent.Breadth of industry experience in both sales and marketing leadership roles.Proven experience (at least 10 years) in leadership roles within the pharmaceutical industry.Previous experience working with Dermatologists is highly valued.Proven ability to inspire and lead a team, and work effectively cross-functionally.Strong leadership, team management and interpersonal skills.Demonstrated ability to make crucial commercial decisions.Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.Proven track record of delivering innovative solutions.Excellent communication and negotiation skills.Adaptable, responsive and high accountability.Flexibility and Availability: In line with Australia’s 'Right to Disconnect' legislation, we recognise and respect employees' right to refuse contact outside of their working hours.CODE OF CONDUCT & BUSINESS INTEGRITY STATEMENTAbbVie is committed to observing high integrity and ethical standards in all its business dealings.
