We are now taking applications for a Livestock Administration Officer Near Moreee, NSW Livestock Administration Officer Location: Moree, New South Wales Fixed term: 6 - 12-month Contract Our client: Our client is a 100% family-owned vertically integrated agricultural business. Their main operations are dryland and irrigated cropping; livestock breeding, backgrounding and feed lotting; cotton ginning, warehousing, and logistics. The team of over 150 employees is based across Northern NSW and QLD. Position Summary In this role, you will be responsible for administering and maintaining accurate livestock inventories and conducting thorough audits for the Hemingford Feedlot, as well as for other livestock operations as required. This includes ensuring compliance with industry regulations and collaborating closely with farm managers to implement best practices in livestock management. Your attention to detail will be essential in accurately tracking animal numbers, assessing feed requirements and reporting any discrepancies, all while contributing to the overall efficiency and productivity of our operations. The Role: Reporting to the Feedlot Manager, your duties will include but are not limited to: Maintaining livestock management software, such as StockaID and Performance Beef, while accurately tracking and recording all livestock movements at Hemingford Feedlot, including induction and exit reports Ensuring compliance with the National Livestock Identification Scheme (NLIS) and Property Identification Codes (PIC), while managing feeding, commodity, and drug records, including conducting stocktakes and reporting on animal health. Preparing for and conducting audits for National Feedlot Accreditation Standards (NFAS), Livestock Production Assurance (LPA), and Environment Protection Licence, ensuring 100% compliance at all times, along with performing internal audits and preparing weekly reports for management. Purchasing and reconciling accounts for animal health products and other livestock supplies, updating the buyers grid model weekly with cattle prices. Collaborating with the Feedlot Manager to hold weekly staff meetings and complete any other duties as requested by the Farms General Manager or Feedlot Manager. About you: A minimum 2 years’ experience in administrative role. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
