James Cook University's Central Queensland Centre for Rural & Remote Health is seeking a talented and passionate Allied Health Clinical Lead, Speech Pathology to join our dynamic team in Emerald. This is a 2yr fixed term, full-time position, offering the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the health and well-being of individuals and communities in the region. ABOUT THE ROLE As the Allied Health Clinical Lead, Speech Pathology, you will play a pivotal role in leading and coordinating the delivery of high-quality speech pathology services to the local community. You will be responsible for managing and mentoring a team of speech pathology professionals, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills and resources to provide exceptional patient care. Your duties will include: Providing clinical leadership and oversight to the speech pathology team Developing and implementing evidence-based speech pathology programs and interventions Collaborating with other allied health professionals and community stakeholders to deliver integrated and holistic care Conducting clinical assessments, developing treatment plans, and providing direct therapy services to clients Actively participating in the training and professional development of the speech pathology team Representing the speech pathology discipline within the multidisciplinary Centre for Rural & Remote Health QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE To be successful in this role, you will possess a Bachelor's degree in Speech Pathology or a related field, along with significant experience in a clinical leadership or supervisory role. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills are essential, as is a commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care. ABOUT THE CENTRAL QUEENSLAND CENTRE FOR RURAL AND REMOTE HEALTH The James Cook University Central Queensland Centre for Rural and Remote Health (CQCRRH) in Emerald is part of a national network of 16 University Departments of Rural Health, funded through the Rural Health Multidisciplinary Training program as a workforce initiative. This newly established centre aims to enhance clinical placements by embedding students within practices, services, organizations, and communities, with a strong focus on engaging with Indigenous communities.
