You will lead the development and implementation of key health and safety policies and procedures, ensuring they reflect organisational priorities and respond to operational demands.A few key responsibilities will include:Develop, review, and implement health and safety policies, plans and proceduresEstablish and communicate internal health and safety standards for complianceAnalyze operational data and prepare reports for leadershipPartner with our learning and development team to deliver health and safety trainingPromote a positive health, safety, and risk cultureOversee incident management, security monitoring, and CCTV systemsSupport critical incident investigations and post-incident reviewsRequired skills and Qualifications:Demonstrated experience in leading OH&S, risk management and quality assurance functions in large, complex organisationsExtensive knowledge of and familiarity with health and safety regulatory and compliance frameworks (experience in the sports and/or venues industries desirable but not essential)Highly developed interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills with a strong ability to work collaboratively across the organisation and with multiple stakeholdersStrong analytical, problem solving and report writing skillsSound judgement, personal integrity and the ability to work independentlyComputer literate with a reasonable working knowledge of Microsoft Office suiteAbility to research, understand and apply legislative and regulatory requirements in the development, review and implementation of policies, procedures and associated documentsSelf-awareness, including the ability to remain calm under pressure, give and receive constructive feedback and use it to improve performanceTertiary qualifications in a relevant field, including law, business management, risk management or venue management are highly desirableWhy is this a great place to work?You will love working at the State Sports Centres.
