The Finance Services group is the key interface with the University's central finance and resource management teams and includes staff with specialist skills in management accounting, revenue and expenditure reporting, financial modelling, and analysis.The Monash Business School Finance Services team is seeking a high-performing and enthusiastic business partnering-focused individual for the role of Senior Finance Business Partner to assist with a range of quality financial management services.The Senior Finance Business Partner reports to the Finance Business Partnering Manager and oversees a team of two staff members. The role works closely with stakeholders as a trusted business partner, providing strategic and routine support while playing a key role in budgeting, planning, forecasting, analysis, and reporting. Working with a team of service-oriented finance staff, you will provide tailored financial services designed to improve financial capability, implement and maintain financial controls, address financial management issues, and support the achievement of the business goals.You will ideally have:A relevant post-graduate qualification or progress towards post-graduate qualifications with current CA/CPA accreditationDemonstrated staff management and development experienceDemonstrated capabilities in strategic budget & forecast development and reporting, process improvement, contract management, project costing, quality control, financial analysis and monitoring, within a complex environmentExcellent stakeholder management, business partnering, and influencing skillsExcellent analytical, numerical, research, and problem-solving skills to achieve desired outcomesOutstanding communication skills and the ability to work autonomously and cooperatively in a teamExemplary planning and organizing skills with demonstrated ability to manage and deliver multiple prioritiesProven ability to apply accounting standards and financial policies in a complex organizationExperience in using ERP and business intelligence tools such as Power BI will be highly regarded.About Monash UniversityAt Monash, work feels different.
