As a Registered Nurse, you'll assess individual patient needs, develop and implement care plans, and provide health education and rehabilitation programs to enhance patient outcomes. You’ll also guide and support newer staff, Enrolled Nurses, and students, helping them grow in their nursing practice.

Provide Person-Centred Care: Assess, plan, and implement care to meet the needs of individual patients.
Support Patient Education: Deliver health education, counselling, and rehabilitation programs.
Collaborate: Work effectively with a diverse team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Mentor: Support and guide less experienced staff, fostering growth in their nursing practice.
Continuous Development: Commit to professional growth and development through training and experience.
About You
You will be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse or Nurse/Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
With demonstrated competence in nursing practice in accordance with the appropriate standards, you will have effective communication skills, including problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
With the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and prioritise workloads, you will be creative, innovative and flexible when approaching issues within a healthcare setting.

Cummins and District Memorial Hospital is part of the Eyre and Far North Local Health Network. The hospital has 11 inpatient beds as well as aged care beds and provides emergency services, general medicine, diagnostic radiology and outpatient department. Our community services include extended care for the frail, aged and disabled, Meals on Wheels and allied health services.

The Eyre and Far North Local Health Network (EFNLHN) is responsible for the planning and delivery of hospital and health services over 337,626 square kilometres, taking in the Eyre Peninsula, western part of South Australia and north to Coober Pedy.
