WHAT YOU'LL DO:
1. Oversee the entire procurement process, including market approaches and assembling assessment teams. Align procurement strategies with Territory laws, policies, and add your creative touch.
2. Requirements Drafting: Write clear and precise Statements of Requirements.
3. Market Research: Investigate and evaluate suppliers to find the best fit.
4. Inquiry Handling: Address questions during market approaches, keeping everyone well-informed.
5. Contract Preparation: Collaborate with the Solicitor to draft contracts.
6. Negotiations: Secure the best deals through effective contract negotiations.
7. Contract Administration: Keep contracts, agreements, and statements of work organized and up-to-date.
8. Reporting: Provide clear progress reports to keep everyone informed.
WHAT YOU REQUIRE:
This role is ideal for a seasoned commercial professional who has undertaken several large procurements in a Government setting for digital / ICT solutions.
9. Experience in a wide range of Government digital/ICT procurements – either at the Commonwealth or State/Territory jurisdictional levels.
10. Degree in business administration, contract law or a minimum Cert IV in Procurement and Contracting.
11. A strong and recent background in negotiating, executing and managing contracts with multi-national vendors.
12. Highly effective communicator with the ability to produce high quality products.
