Position DetailsVISUAL ARTS PRIMARY TEACHERSt Brigid's Primary School, Middle Swan is a double stream co-educational school, catering for students from Pre Kindergarten to Year 6. Our committed and enthusiastic staff work closely together to provide a collaborative and supportive learning and teaching environment. We are seeking a Visual Arts Teacher for the remainder of 2025 (with the possibility of ongoing). This is a temporary position commencing 23 June 2025 and concluding 31 December 2025.
Selection CriteriaAbility to teach Visual Arts K-6.Proven experience in successfully planning, organising and delivering educational programs.Ability to work in a professional manner and establish positive working relationships with students, staff and parents.Sound knowledge of art processes and techniques in Primary School.A positive attitude and genuine interest in art.An ability to integrate art into other subject areas.Ability to foster nurturing and positive relationships with students to cater for their needs.Excellent classroom management and organisational skills that create supportive and safe environments.A sound understanding of the West Australian Curriculum.Qualifications RequiredRelevant 4 year tertiary qualification in Primary Education.Accreditation to work in a Catholic School (or working towards).Application DetailsApplicants must submit a cover letter addressing each of the Selection Criteria (half page maximum per criteria) and a Curriculum Vitae, including the names and contact numbers of three referees, one of whom must be the current or most recent employer.
