Job Description Positions available at both Salisbury and Modbury Therapy HubsAbout the RolesWorking at Novita, you will be responsible for providing evidence-based assessment and intervention services that enhance the lives of our clients. By assisting children, teenagers and adults who are experiencing sensory issues or challenges with their movement, play, personal care, sleep, vision, and independent living skills (such as shopping or transport), you will work as part of a team to assist clients and their families in achieving their goals and maximizing their potential.As an innovative, self-motivated Occupational Therapist you will:Manage a caseload involving the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of appropriate assistive technology or home modification solutions for both adults and children.Select, apply and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and their ability to meet goals and objectives.Integrate occupational therapy services with other Novita services to support a multi-disciplinary approach and liaising with and engaging in decision making, client reviews, planning sessions, program conferences, and other appropriate meetings.Provide orientation and performance feedback to occupational therapists under your supervision.Actively work with clients and their families to understand their goals and how they relate to our service delivery, and contribute to NDIS service planning as required.Attend relevant professional development and continuing education programmes to ensure your currency of knowledge within clinical practice. Desired Skills and Experience About YouAlong with AHPRA registration as an Occupational Therapist, to be successful in this role you will have:Experience in a range of occupational therapy interventions, including the ability to adapt established occupational therapy assessments and interventions to meet client needs.Knowledge of inclusive practices, and child and family-centered practices.Experience in working with clients with high and complex needs and the ability to support other clinicians in developing these skills.Experience in supervision, management, and development of other health professionals in the clinical setting.Ability to communicate effectively with and support customers, children, parents, and staff.Ability to generalize therapy goals within multiple natural environments.Drive, passion, and commitment to your work and Novita's purpose.A commitment to continuing professional development.We're serious about safeguarding our clients.
