About the Role
Our client is a boutique law firm that offers premium legal services from a team of highly qualified and extensively experienced professionals. They specialise in Family law from Domestic Violence, Divorce, Parenting, Property and Family, no matter is too big or small.
They are currently seeking a professional and qualified Family Lawyer to join their rapidly expanding team in Greenslopes. This is a permanent opportunity working 9am–5pm Monday to Friday.
As a Lawyer, you will be providing high-level legal services such as advice, transaction, litigation, research and support in complex areas of family law to ensure the provision of high quality, efficient and effective legal services on behalf of the organisation and its clients.
Responsibilities
* Deliver high quality legal advice across property matters, parenting matters, child support, child protection and domestic violence matters
* Manage files from the initial consults through to completion
* Provide effective legal services including transactions or litigation in accordance with legislation
* Establish and maintain effective, productive and professional stakeholder relationships
* Conduct litigation before Courts and Tribunals
* Interpret, analyse and prepare complex legal documentation including legal records, correspondence, legislation, consent orders, court orders, binding financial agreements, reports and contracts
* Complete interviews with clients
* Conduct in-depth legal research
* Represent clients in Family Children and Domestic Violence Courts
* Contribute to the development and review of legal standards, practices, policies, systems, procedures, manuals, precedents and processes
* Assist in the development of training to ensure high quality and effective professional services
* Respond to formal and informal requests for information including court subpoenas and applications under relevant legislation
* Accurately and contemporaneously record time spent on legal work and prepare invoices
* Ensure compliance with practice management standards

Requirements
* Tertiary Law Qualifications
* Legal Practising Certificate and admission as a Solicitor of the QLD Supreme Court
* Minimum 2 years’ post-admission experience (PAE)
* Proven Family law experience
* Experience in interpreting legislation, reviewing and negotiating contracts
* Flexibility to undertake occasional day travel
* Ability to commence ASAP
