About The Centre
Thrive, Coniston in Wollongong is close to public transport and offers free street parking.
One of our biggest centres at 112 places, the team have been working hard to create new and inclusive learning areas both inside the centre and in their large natural outdoor environment using their recently received brand-new furniture and resources.
Thrive, Coniston is made up of a team that is dedicated to providing quality early education and care for the children in the community.
About The Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated Early Childhood Teacher to join a team of high quality educators.
This position would suit someone with experience in programming using a planning cycle and the ability to inspire, motivate and maintain a positive learning culture within the centre for children, families and educators.
Your main responsibilities will be to:
* Support educators to assess each child’s learning and development in relation to the approved learning framework, other contemporary theories and the Thrive curriculum
* Support educators to critically reflect on each child’s learning and development and on their own pedagogy as part of everyday practice
* Reflect on educational pedagogy as part of everyday practice
* Maintain a positive working relationship with all team members
* Maintain effective communication with parents
* Uphold strong work values with a focus on being your best by doing your best

The successful candidate will have:
* An Early Childhood Teaching degree (or at least 50% completed)
* NESA Teacher Accreditation
* A current NSW Employee Working With Children's Check
* Sound and practical working knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) & National Quality Standard (NQS)
