A bit about your role We have an exciting opportunity at nbn, as a Senior Security Assurance Specialist reporting to the Executive Manager, Risk and Assurance.
The Senior Security Assurance Specialist provides oversight to nbn's security risk and assurance program.
This role involves creating and maintaining Security Group Policy and Standards, verifying the effectiveness of security controls, and ensuring compliance with security policies.
The specialist will work closely with key stakeholders to manage security risks, support internal audits, and provide management reporting.
Strong analytical and reporting skills, along with the ability to translate complex security concepts for various stakeholders are essential to succeed in this role.
A bit about you The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in security, assurance, and risk management.
They must be familiar with control frameworks such as PSPF, Essential 8, and NIST CSF.
Key skills include a technical understanding of security threats, experience in developing and managing security programs, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong time management skills are also essential to meet objectives within required timeframes.
