This role is predominantly intended to provide food business regulation although other areas may also be introduced. The purpose of this position is to ensure compliance to the applicable standards and provide a high level of service to the community.Key responsibilities include:To implement and maintain the food business regulatory compliance program to ensure that a high standard of food safety is attained in accordance with the Food Act 2008, Food Standards Code, operational procedures and Council policy.Assess and process various applications for registration and renewals.Carry out regulatory assessments.Provide strong record keeping and reports as required.To be successful in the role, you must be degree qualified in Environmental Health (or a related discipline acceptable to the Chief Health Officer WA) together with relevant experience, knowledge and skills.
