ABOUT THE ROLE
We are currently looking for a highly motivated and safety focused Operations Controller to join our team, based in Geelong on a full-time basis.
Reporting directly to the Operations Manager this position will be primarily responsible for:
1. Coordination and scheduling of fleet & staff movement including monitoring hours and delays;
2. Allocation and coordination of customer bookings & deliveries;
3. Building relationships with current customer base and ensuring a high level of service is offered;
4. Out of hours on-call rotating roster;
5. Monitor and manage all aspects of fatigue compliance;
6. Supervision and management of direct staff;
7. Assist with payroll-related activities;
8. Assist with the commercial process of the division when required.

To be successful in this dynamic role you will have:
9. Experience within a similar role, ideally within transport and logistics;
10. Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team;
11. Proven management experience of company and subcontractor fleet;
12. Strong customer focus and the ability to build cross functional relationships and collaborate effectively with all internal and external stakeholders;
13. Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
14. The ability to work within a team environment as well as autonomously;
15. A high level of computer literacy and attention to detail;
16. Continuous improvement mind-set delivering on measurable outcomes;
17. A sound understanding of COR, NHVAS, BFM and Mass Management compliance accreditation systems and regulatory requirements;
18. The ability to do some short term travel, if required;
19. Exposure to Enterprise Agreements and Transport related Awards (highly regarded);
20. Prior involvement with workers compensation and injury management (highly regarded);
21. A tertiary qualification within Transport and Logistics (not essential).
