About the Opportunity
We are actively seeking experienced Registered Nurses for a mixture of shifts to join our clinical team on a Casual and Permanent Part-Time Basis.
Reporting to our General Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring a consistently high quality of care is provided to our residents, to facilitate and support their continued enjoyment of life within their level of capability.
Key accountabilities include:
o Completing the initial assessment and care planning; and the ongoing management and evaluation of resident’s individual care needs within the scope of practice.
o Implementing the nursing care plan as assessed for each resident by the health care team and the resident/representative.
o Liaising with visiting medical officers and other health professionals and residents/relatives in the planning, implementation and evaluation of the resident’s care needs.
o Delivering to residents a holistic concept of care using the resident’s care plan, utilising the ‘Person Centred Care’ approach.
o Supervising, managing, and monitoring the standard of care delivered to our residents, ensuring that the care is individualised and person-centred according to resident’s individualised care needs.
o Assessing and planning residents’ care needs on an ongoing basis and updating documentation as per protocol.
To be successful, you will have:
o Previous experience as a Registered Nurse, in aged care is desirable.
o Relevant qualifications and AHPRA registration.
o Minimum of 12 months experience as a Registered Nurse.
o Valid working rights in Australia (Passport, Birth Certificate, etc.).
o Complete a police check.
o Flu Vaccination (or willingness to obtain during flu season).
o Evidence of Covid-19 vaccination.
o Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families and all levels of staff.
o Strong passion for working with the elderly and dedication to professional growth.
