This internationally acclaimed environmental management organisation provides a range of sustainable environmental solutions to commercial, industrial and municipal customers in regional and city locations across Australia. Through the effective implementation of strategic growth both organically and through acquisition, the business is looking to significantly grow its market share across the country and requires a strategic, versatile, and commercially astute Finance Director to assist in driving the business to achieve this goal.
As Finance Director, you will be a key member of a close-knit executive leadership team based in Sydney and will report offshore to the International CFO. With overall responsibility for all business administration functions including HR, IT, Legal, and Procurement, the role of Finance Director is integral to the ongoing transformation, growth, and commercial success of the business.
To be successful in this role, you must be entrepreneurial and have extensive high-level capability in finance and accounting, corporate governance, company secretarial, business performance management, and financial business compliance, including banking, auditing, and tax. In addition, you must be a strategic thinker with superior leadership skills, have a proven track record of success in pursuing financial initiatives and frameworks that support informed decision-making, the ability to develop and implement innovative work practices aimed at continuous improvement, and the ability to empower stakeholders through the provision of accurate and reliable financial information that reflects core business objectives.
It is vital that you have a flexible approach with the ability and desire to be “hands-on” and involved in the detail as required. CA or CPA qualified, preferably with an MBA, you must have outstanding communication, influencing, and advocacy skills, thrive in an evolving and entrepreneurial work environment, and enjoy collaborating and involving yourself in the commercial success of the organisation. Your career portfolio should include exposure, preferably international, within the industrial, engineering, transport, and logistics services sectors and include merger and acquisition knowledge and experience.
