Each HRBP will report to their respective cluster Human Resources Director (HRD), who is embedded in the division and part of the Chief People Officer (CPO) portfolio.As an HRBP, you will act as a trusted advisor, aligning HR strategies with divisional objectives while ensuring the consistent implementation of university-wide HR initiatives. In this HR generalist role, you will build strong business partnerships within your portfolio, providing expert advice across key areas, including performance management, case management, talent development, and change management.You will develop a deep understanding of your division's strategy, working closely with your cluster HRD to create and implement HR plans that support divisional goals. Collaborating across the broader CPO team, you will ensure HR matters are resolved effectively by integrating subject matter expertise where needed.This is an excellent opportunity to deepen your HR expertise, collaborate with talented HR professionals, and apply critical thinking to drive impactful outcomes that support divisional strategies and the University's mission.Your responsibilities will include:Executing University-wide HR and Talent initiatives in Divisions, translating these to the local environment, ensuring that Divisional people plans align with Uo M People Strategy.Interpreting, explaining, and ensuring compliance with the University's HR policies and procedures, and communicating new and/or revised policies to divisional staff when required.Working with Division leadership and Centres of Excellence to determine development and training opportunities.Who we are looking forWe're looking for three experienced HR Business Partners with exceptional stakeholder management skills. You'll excel at building and maintaining relationships with senior stakeholders, influencing decisions, and advising on HR policies. Trust, credibility, and strong communication skills are essential, along with analytical and problem-solving expertise.If you have significant experience as an HR generalist or senior advisor to a complex group in a large matrix organisation, this role is for you! While university experience is desirable, it's not essential.You will also have:A relevant tertiary qualification with demonstrated HR work experience in a large, complex, matrixed reporting environment.Experience in providing expert advice and guidance on a range of HR issues, and the ability to work in a complex, ambiguous, and changing environment.A complete suite of Generalist HR knowledge and skills. This will be the senior HR advisor/business partner to support the executive and leadership team within the Division.Strong case management experience with the ability to support leaders to manage complex cases including performance concerns, complaints, and other investigations.The ability to draw upon and partner with Business Services and the Centres of Excellence to provide a seamless HR proposition.For further information regarding responsibilities and requirements please refer to the attached PD.This role requires the successful candidate to undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check.
