Salary: $75,000 plus superannuation per annum
Location: Landsdale WA 6065
Our client is seeking an experienced Cook to join their restaurant located in Landsdale, Western Australia.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Prepare, season, and cook a variety of chicken, seafood and steak dishes following the restaurant's recipes and presentation standards.
* Customize dishes based on customer preferences, including dietary restrictions and special requests.
* Monitor the quality, freshness, and presentation of all meals, ensuring consistency and high standards.
* Operate, maintain, and clean kitchen equipment, such as grills, fryers, and ovens, while adhering to safety regulations.
* Manage food inventory, order ingredients, and oversee stock rotation to minimize waste and ensure freshness.
* Collaborate with the head chef and kitchen staff to plan daily and seasonal menus, as well as specials.
* Ensure compliance with food safety, health, and hygiene standards, maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen at all times.
* Supervise, train, and mentor junior kitchen staff, ensuring they follow proper food preparation and safety protocols.
* Manage portion control and plating to ensure the right quantity and presentation of dishes.
* Coordinate with waitstaff and kitchen team to ensure timely preparation and delivery of orders.
* Assist in developing new recipes and improving existing dishes to maintain the restaurant's competitive edge.
Requirements:
* Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, or Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery
* At least three (3) years of relevant prior experience.
