Job Description As Director of Sales for International Leisure Sales, you will be reporting to the Group Director of Sales of FRS Makkah Complex to drive business needs and expand existing business through promotional efforts and sales channels. You will work to develop the sales group and groom a high-performing sales team. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
Main Responsibilities: Monitor and oversee the sales colleagues (direct reports, if any) on a day-to-day basis, monitoring sales action plans regularly. Ensure all customers' requirements are determined and met. Actively promote an awareness of the customer's requirements throughout the organization. Manage the top producing accounts within the segment ensuring that client visitations and entertainment targets are met, focusing on high-end suite business. Ensure that all relevant systems are updated with client information, production, and sales activities. Achieve and/or exceed the monthly, quarterly, and annually established sales targets. Handle all daily matters relating to sales operations. Continually evaluate the respective markets and their needs, comparing them with existing products and services. Recommend to the Group Director of Sales necessary sales action plans or procedure revisions to increase production of the various market segments. Assist the Group Director of Sales with the production of the annual Sales Plans, hotel budgets along with the departmental performance plan in line with the team individual targets. Advise the Group Director of Sales regarding sales progress and booking trends in the respective market segments. Be responsible for the Leisure industry segments. Attend overseas sales trips and road shows as required. Ensure measurable quality objectives are established and actively participate in the review of these objectives (monthly/quarterly and annually). Provide constant coaching, counseling, and discipline to colleagues to ensure that their capability to meet the needs of the customer and hotel. Determine the necessary competence for colleagues and provide the relevant training or other actions to satisfy these needs. Monitor all Leisure incentive programs ensuring that all departments are fully briefed and aware of their roles and responsibilities with these programs. Achieve and exceed budgeted room nights and revenue goals annually. Utilize the marketing plan to uncover new and potential business. Ensure accuracy for forecasting of revenues with the most updated information. Assist Sales/Catering/Convention services in obtaining necessary customer information and closing business, as requested. Participate in daily/weekly revenue meetings, sales strategy meetings, and pre-convention meetings. Qualifications Knowledge of the local market Knowledge of the hospitality industry A passion for sales and target-based performance Relevant degree in sales, business development, or other relevant business field from an academic institution Positive attitude and good communication skills Commitment to delivering a high level of customer service Strong leadership skills, demonstrating the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team to perform beyond expectations Strong analytical skills to understand key business indicators and competitive trends and develop approaches to these challenges Excellent selling capabilities and the ability and desire to coach selling techniques to Team Members Excellent organizational and planning skills Excellent grooming standards Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations Ability to work well under time pressure and/or demanding travel schedules Demonstrated previous experience in a Director of Sales role with a proven ability to close a sale
