Lead Preparator – The Hood Museum of Art, Dartmouth The Hood Museum of Art, Dartmouth, seeks a Lead Preparator to collaborate with the museum's curatorial, exhibition, and registration departments to ensure the care and proper display of the permanent collection and temporary exhibitions.This position will contribute to the planning, design, preparation, and installation of exhibitions as well as the ongoing work of collections management.It will also support academic programming in the museum's object-study center and supervise the preparations staff.Candidates must have five years of relevant experience in a museum setting, including three years in a supervisory role and demonstrated competence with exhibition design.They must demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of museum installation, storage, and movement of objects.They must be familiar with best practices for working with art and material culture objects and be proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite.Lastly, they must be familiar with collections management software and preferably proficient in TMS.Dartmouth College is an AA/EOE employer.#J-18808-Ljbffr
