As an assistant chef, you will help with food preparation and make sure everything is clean and sanitized.
Responsibilities Clean the kitchen and food preparation areasClean cooking and general utensilsWash, peel and chop vegetables and fruitPrepare mealsSet up food and beverage trays for serving to childrenComply with the centre's nutrition guidelinesMaintain a safe and hygienic kitchen in accordance with centre policiesAbout you Commercial Cookery Qualifications / Certificate III or higher preferred, but not necessaryPrevious experience in childcare preferredFood Safety Supervisor CertificateFood safety knowledgeAbility to cater for allergies and dietary requirementsEnsure health & safety standards are maintained at a high level at all timesAbility to work on your own and maintain a clean and functional kitchen during Chef's absenceExcellent communication skills both written and verbalCurrent Working with Children check, First-Aid Certificate, Asthma and Anaphylaxis trainingIf you share our vision and want to join our community, we encourage you to apply.
