Western Sydney University is collaborating with the CSIRO and NSW Government to connect transformative research and industry engagement through the AMRF Connect. AMRF Connect is a unique space collocated with the AMRF in Bradfield's First Building, designed to foster collaboration between industry, academia, and government, enabling groundbreaking advancements in advanced manufacturing and driving economic growth across Western Sydney. AMRF Connect will be supporting the $300 million Advanced Manufacturing Research Facility (AMRF), which is purpose-built to accelerate manufacturing innovation and commercialise new technologies.
The Opportunity
Are you passionate about innovation and advanced manufacturing? We're seeking an experienced and driven professional to fill the role of Manager for AMRF Connect, within our Launch Pad team. In this pivotal role, you will lead the establishment, daily operations, and strategic direction of AMRF Connect, fostering a vibrant and collaborative ecosystem that drives technological advancements and economic growth. Your efforts will be key in positioning AMRF Connect as a dynamic centre for reskilling, business scaling and connecting opportunities with innovation.
In this senior position, you will:
Oversee daily operations and coordinate impactful events. Nurture strategic partnerships and deliver high-impact programs. Engage with the community to create a supportive and collaborative environment for businesses, SMEs, startups, researchers, and the broader community. Build partnerships with industry leaders, academic institutions, the AMRF, and government bodies to ensure AMRF Connect meets its objectives. Work closely with the AMRF, Western Sydney University, CSIRO, and other key stakeholders to align operations with AMRF Connect's vision. Facilitate networking, knowledge sharing, and collaborative projects to drive engagement and innovation. Contribute to the region's economic growth by accelerating technological advancements. This is a full-time, fixed-term position until 31 December 2027. You will be based at First Building, Bradfield, although travel to other campuses of the University may be required.

About You
You are a highly qualified professional with a postgraduate degree in Business Management, Innovation, Engineering, Computer Science, or Industrial Design, or have an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education/training. You possess specialised knowledge and experience with Industry 4.0 and 5.0 strategies and have a strong track record of successful collaborations with academia, industry, and government to create impactful partnerships and projects. Your proven success in building strategic, high-value partnerships and programs related to innovation and commercialisation spans both local and international markets. With hands-on experience in advanced manufacturing design, technologies, processes, and solutions, including robotics, software coding, engineering, and smart manufacturing, you bring a wealth of knowledge to the table. Your exceptional organisational and project management skills enable you to manage multiple projects efficiently and meet deadlines, and you are proficient with CAD, spreadsheets, and word processing.

Remuneration Package: HEW Level 9 $159,739 to $170,588 p.a. (comprising Salary of $134,981 to $144,149 p.a., plus Superannuation and Leave Loading).
