About the Role: The role is responsible to provide oversight, support and advice to all activities in the Ferrero Asia Pacific Region (plant, warehouses, commercial business units and offices, R&D and retail) in relation to Health and Safety (H&S) matters. The Region H&S manager is the primary contact for Group H&S in the Region and is responsible for driving the regional customization and implementation of Group H&S policies, procedures and initiatives, verifying their implementation and cascading all H&S related information in the Region. Main Responsibilities: Provide support and guidance to different Functions of the regional business in full alignment with Group H&SEnsure health and safety risks are identified, evaluated and mitigatedDevelop and ensure implementation of H&S Regional Strategic Plan in alignment with Group strategy, lead Regional H&S Steering CommitteeDefine H&S objectives at the Regional level in accordance with Group guidelines and key stakeholdersWork with all stakeholders to maintain full compliance with regulatory and Group requirements, including preparation and filing of required documentationMonitor and verify adherence to work safety standards and procedures as well as implementation of all corrective actions identified during audits, inspections, risk assessments, etc.Maintain and regularly update overview of Health and Safety regulations (legal register) applicable in the RegionVerify that emergency response plans are in place for each location in the Region and are effectiveContinuously raise awareness across all levels of the regional organization on the importance of H&S, leveraging on information provided by the Group, train and coach employees and managers in H&S topics with the aim to build a reliable safety cultureEnsure H&S incidents are investigated as per Group guidance to determine root causes and to define actionsProvide regular reporting on H&S KPIs, metrics, status, issues, incidents to Group H&S and other stakeholdersSupport Plant H&S, conduct, train and review risk assessments on a regular basis. Provide regular reporting on status of corrective and preventive actionsJointly with functions, determine mitigation activities for gaps identified, in order to prevent injuries or adverse health impacts to employeesManage on-site medical staff and cooperate with external staff on analysis of problems and medical surveillance planning concerning accidents, work environment and ergonomicsMonitor implementation of agreed mitigation activities and report on implementation statusDevelop and deploy Regional H&S policies, procedures, programs and initiatives in line with Group policies and proceduresMonitor adherence to H&S policies, procedures and work instructions by conducting periodic inspections in the workplaceCoordinate and support Regional roll-out of H&S projects and programsEnsure coordination and implementation of Group Wellbeing initiatives in the RegionSupport procurement and engineering functions by providing H&S input to major change projects in the Region such as design, purchasing, installation of machines and equipment or changes to site layout, new construction, facility design, etc.Collaborate with technical procurement to ensure H&S criteria are incorporated in the selection and evaluation of contractorsMaintains relations with concerned public authorities and collaborate with externals during inspections and visits (if H&S related) with the support of IA&CCSupport any legal reporting requirements (e.g. accident notification) and claims managementEnsure all H&S related licenses, notification, reporting requirements are met and related documents are maintainedActively participate in meetings and calls with Group H&S to provide updates and share best practices Who we are looking for: University degree in a relevant field, professional certifications requiredStrong and relevant Health & Safety management experience in FMCG: production H&S, commercial H&S and regional experience required.
