Introduction We are seeking to increase our team of health professionals who perform Ongoing Support Assessments (OSAs) and Supported Wage System (SWS) Assessments for the National Panel of Assessors in Cairns.
The opportunity These Contracting roles are as work demands and well suited to work in with your business, other part time work or an addition to your current contracting services. Training and accreditation in the assessment tools will be provided. An induction, ongoing professional development and support will also be provided.
About you Qualified Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist, Psychologist with current AHPRA registration, Psychology graduate OR a Rehabilitation Counsellor who has completed a degree in Rehabilitation Counselling OR have completed a Diploma level qualification of relevance to the role.
Minimum 2 years' practical experience in disability employment or related sectorsStrong assessment skillsStrong report writing skillsSound computer skillsDemonstrated ability to meet tight deadlinesGood interpersonal skillsDemonstrated ability to take directionDemonstrated ability to negotiate with a range of stakeholders including the client, medical practitioners, rehabilitation providers and employers.
The Program OSAs are used to determine the appropriate level of ongoing support that a participant (employee living with disability), in a program with a Disability Employment Service (DES) provider, needs to maintain their employment. The purpose for a SWS Assessment is to provide a method for a reliable and independent, work productivity assessment which determines the actual productivity rate of a person with disability working in the open labour market.
