You could be one of our 3100 committed team members who are up to the challenge.About the roleReporting to the Commercial Director, our new Commercial Manager will be responsible for working collaboratively with various business units and external stakeholders in the negotiation and management of major strategic contracts and agreements. The successful candidate will be ensuring optimal value, compliance and enforcement of contractual terms.Key Accountabilities include:Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop supplier and agency strategiesStrategic supplier contract and commercial management for key contractsDevelopment and implementation of best practice commercial and relationship management, in accordance with policies, procedures and frameworkUtilise internal and market data to perform commercial analysis, enabling data driven insights and decision making for key contractsManage commercial disagreements and disputes to effectively achieve resolutionsStrategically monitor supplier financial health and escalation of identified risks to Commercial DirectorEnsure all Governance and Compliance requirements are adhered to and all reporting required by Regulatory bodies are carried out to the required standardsProviding recommendations on builds, acquisitions or implementation of new systemsSupport Commercial Director with development of the Commercial activities pipeline and benefits dashboard reportingSupport the management of supplier performance including the tracking of key SLA'sAbout youMust have 8+ years Contract Management experience within heavy asset industriesProven experience successfully developing Supplier Relationship Management plans and category management plans within heavy asset industries / complex environments (Rail/transport industry an advantage)Established experience successfully managing conflict and resolving complex issues, both internally and externallyMust have thorough knowledge and experience with multiple types of supply and relationship-based arrangementsDemonstratable, high financial acumen for the support of project feasibility studies, development of business cases and recommendations including ability to utilise data and insights for cost modelling, CBA/IRR assessmentAbility to understand and analyse financial records for business performanceSalary for this position is commensurate to the successful candidate's aligned skills and experience to the position.In addition to free Myki travel, we offer:Community impact – Make a genuine difference.
