About the Role Leading and coordinating a large team of Waste and Recycling Truck Drivers, this role will ensure the delivery of excellent customer service to the community of Townsville by leading an effective and efficient residential waste and recyclables collection service. This will include, but not be limited to, service planning, resource allocation, time management, budget management, safety and environmental compliance, recruitment, performance management and managing difficult behaviours.
About You Our ideal candidate will have:
Supervisory experience and/or qualifications in the waste management, resource recovery, transport and logistics or related industry.Experience in promoting a positive safety culture and adherence to the Health Safety Management Systems, through visible leadership and exercising due diligence and management of compliance and legislative obligations.Experience coordinating staff and resources to ensure tasks are completed in accordance with organisational and regulatory standards, policies and procedures.Experience with business management systems required to operate a commercialised waste business unit e.g. vehicle management systems, financial management and budgeting tools, customer service systems.Knowledge of operational and statutory requirements in waste collection, treatment, transport and disposal practices used in the industry and the ability to operate in a fast-paced environment is desirable, i.e. licensing, tracking, NHVR, etc.Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to influence positive change.Strong problem-solving abilities.'HR' drivers' licence is desirable but not mandatory.How to Apply Your application can be submitted through the 'Apply' button.
