New Zealand High Commission Canberra The New Zealand High Commission in Canberra is on the lookout for an experienced and dynamic Facilities Manager.

As the Facilities Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing our property portfolio, including the chancery and official residences.
You'll implement maintenance plans, lead health and safety measures, and oversee all aspects of facilities management for our dedicated team.
With three properties under your care, you'll ensure smooth operations while managing budgets and capital projects.
What You'll Do:
Oversee facilities management and maintenance planning within budget Lead health & safety initiatives and maintain compliance Oversee day-to-day operations of our Team Administrator, maintenance and driver.
Handle contractual arrangements, property searches, and inventory management Ensure supervision of contractors and efficiency of our expansive grounds and facilities The ideal candidate will be available to commence duties in mid-November.
The successful applicant will be employed on local terms and conditions and must have the right to work in Australia.
If the successful candidate has worked or lived in New Zealand, they may, subject to individual circumstances, have NZ Tax Residency obligations.
The applicant must be able to obtain and maintain an appropriate New Zealand Government Security Clearance.
Minimum Requirements:
Proven track record in facilities management or a similar field (minimum 5 years) Strong organisational and technical skills, capable of handling diverse tasks Excellent communication skills with a customer-focused approach Experience in project management and supervising capital works Knowledge of irrigation and landscape maintenance preferred Clean driver's license and ability to safely navigate local conditions If you want to contribute to New Zealand's success in Australia, we'd love to hear from you!
