About the Role...
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Workplace Relations/ Employment Lawyer at Associate/Senior Associate level to join an established team in their Melbourne Office.
The role offers varied and stimulating work, direct client contact and a friendly and supportive team.
You will play an integral part of their Workplace Relations practice and will enjoy partnering closely with their clients from a diverse range of industries on an interesting range of employment, education & safety matters.
Here you will enjoy autonomy whilst working alongside well known & approachable Partners. This is a generalist workplace relations team providing you with a stimulating variety of both contractual and litigation matters eg.:-
1. drafting employment agreements & contracts, enterprise bargaining and contractor agreements;
2. advising on discrimination, harassment and bullying claims;
3. providing advice on employee entitlements;
4. dispute resolution as it relates to employment matters;
5. assisting with strategic advice around workplace relations issues;
6. advising on post employment restraints;
7. bullying claims, harassment and discrimination advice;
8. presenting to clients via workshops on general OH&S matters.
About You..
9. Ideally, you will have at least 3 years+ experience in workplace relations/employment law;
10. a background from a comparable employment law practice and/or mid to top tier law law firm;
11. Strong drafting skills, ability to articulate advice and be a willing mentor to less experienced practitioners;
12. Have a well developed commercial/strategic mindset;
13. Maintain a high level of professional conduct and confidentiality at all times.
14. Passionate about advancing your career in employment law with a highly reputable practice.
