Responsibilities Lead the team in the maintenance of a safe and productive work environment by ensuring the development and implementation of safe work practices / procedures that meet statutory and company requirements.Conduct Critical Risk Verifications, workplace inspections, and safety audits.Develop safety-related documentation.Ensure company safety standards are met while coaching and mentoring employees and contractors to eliminate injuries and incidents.Regularly review workplace safety performance and execute corrective measures.Contribute to the planning process that enables production and processing optimisation.Work closely with the Process and Maintenance Supervisors to ensure the process plant and facilities are available so that key resources and assets are effectively utilised and optimised.Ensure all activities are conducted to achieve lowest cost production.Lead and implement continuous improvement initiatives.Manage all electrical execution activities to ensure they are carried out in a cost-effective and safe manner.Manage electrical personnel to ensure the effective maintenance of plant and ancillaries so that business targets and goals are achieved to maximum effect.Lead the training and development of team members by following up on needs identified and competency profiles developed for all roles.Proactively contribute to team development through active participation in the performance management system.What you will need to succeed Experience in heavy industry or mining essential within a Supervisory role.Electrical Trade Qualification.HV Switching Certification.Ability to interpret wiring diagrams, P&ID's, and other engineering drawings.Sound understanding of Fixed Plant maintenance principles and their application in practice.Good level of knowledge in computer literacy, particularly SAP and MS Office.Ability to plan and anticipate likely scenarios related to all key responsibility areas.Able to effectively allocate resources to achieve business requirements.Effective time management and good communication skills.Flexibility to adapt to improved procedures and practices.Availability for engineering support call-out roster.Our business Adbri Cement, formerly known as Adelaide Brighton Cement, has been synonymous with cement since its founding in 1882.
