Champion student engagement through events and marketing initiatives, making an impact on rural health and education Full time contingent opportunity with the UON Department of Rural Health 17% super, generous annual, personal, and life leave, wellbeing programs, health and fitness discounts Be challenged and imagine with us As the Marketing & Promotions Officer, you will play a pivotal role in the effective coordination and management of both internal and external events for the University of Newcastle's Department of Rural Health (UONDRH).
Your aim will be to champion student engagement for placements, and oversee expos and career forums for high school students. You will assist with the promotion of these events and initiatives through comprehensive marketing strategies, utilising social media, websites, posters, brochures, and other promotional materials.
Additionally, you will provide ad hoc marketing and project support for the team.

This position is contingent based on continued external funding. Experience creating and developing promotional materials and marketing collateral (e.g. social media posts, website management, posters, brochures etc.). Graphic design experience is highly regarded. Demonstrated experience in event coordination, management, planning or project management. Ability to work collaboratively and bring together staff and students to participate in engagement initiatives. A positive and supportive approach to their work. What we offer The remuneration for this position is from $77,858 to $90,316 + 17% superannuation and is commensurate with skills and experience.

The UONDRH is funded by the Commonwealth Department of Health under its Rural Health Multidisciplinary Training (RHMT) Program to offer health students the opportunity to train in rural and remote communities via a network of training facilities. The UONDRH deliver several programs aimed at improving the health and wellbeing of vulnerable communities within the North West, New England and Mid North Coast regions.
