About the role
We have an opportunity for a System Support Administrator (LINUX) to be part of our TIN, Technology Command. The Systems Support Administrator provides technical support for the day to day operations of the organisation's ICT systems

As the Linux Systems Administrator, you will be part of a team supporting applications and infrastructure. Your role collaborates with internal IT stakeholders within network, security, storage and applications teams and BAU support. You will provision, configure, manage, monitor and improve the Red Hat Enterprise Linux solution across physical and virtual server platforms in data centres and remotely.
This role will:
• Manage, monitor and enhance the performance of Linux based applications
• Plan and implement new physical and virtualised systems
• Upgrade, patch and refresh programs using centralised systems and procedures
• Review and update backup and disaster recovery procedures
• Proactively seek to consolidate and standardise the Linux SOE
• Provide systems and scripting support to application development and operational groups
Selection Criteria
Operate with best practice, Good and up to date knowledge of Linux, Able to work with Kubernetes. Open Shift is preferred, An understanding of networks, firewalls and certificates, Linux Systems Admin Certification (preferred but not essential)
