Quality/Education Manager - (Registered Nurse)
Location: Devonport, Tasmania
Position Type: Full-time (72 hours, 9-day fortnight)
Working Hours: 0700 - 1530, Monday to Friday
Our client is excited to announce a brand new position for a dedicated and passionate Registered Nurse to join their team as a Quality/Education Manager. This is a unique opportunity to shape the role and make a meaningful impact in their aged care facility.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the Clinical Director and Clinical Management team in providing leadership and guidance to the Clinical and Care team.
* Foster collaboration with residents, their representatives, and the team, acting as a lead clinical resource.
* Uphold and exemplify the Vision, Mission, and Values of the organisation through all actions and behaviors.
* Deliver direct clinical training at the site level, ensuring staff understand their roles and scope of practice.
* Mentor staff in learning and competency assessments to support the development of a skilled workforce.
* Assess, plan, develop, implement, and evaluate evidence-based clinical teaching and education programs.
* Utilize various educational strategies to enhance competency and nursing care delivery.
* Provide coordination and support for transitional nurses to apply their learning in a clinical practice setting.
* Collaborate with management and multidisciplinary team members to create an effective adult learning environment.
* Actively participate in the Continuous Improvement process.
* Maintain knowledge and experience with all legislation related to Residential Aged Care.
* Review, investigate, and report SIRS within the recommended time frame.
* Conduct regular audits and report trends to relevant departments.
* Assist in the induction of new staff members.
Qualifications and Requirements:
* Full-time Australian working rights.
* Current AHPRA Registration.
* Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (desirable but not essential).
* Minimum of 5 years clinical experience, with essential aged care experience.
* Strong leadership capabilities and excellent communication skills.
* Commitment to providing person-centred quality care.
Additional Information:
All applicants must be willing to complete a pre-employment medical, a Working with Vulnerable People Check, and an NDIS Worker's Clearance.
