This is a permanent part-time role on a fixed roster of at least 10 hours per week or more to work with participants living independently in homes in Bateau Bay.
About The Opportunity
* Part-Time Fixed Contract until June 2025 with the possibility of extension, with a minimum of 20 hours per fortnight in Bateau Bay.
* SCHADS Level 2.1 rate $33.41 per hour with additional penalty rates, salary packaging benefits up to $18,550 per year and superannuation.
* Flexible to be available 7 days a week from 7am to 8pm with 1 weekend a fortnight.
Roster
* Week 1 Wednesday 9:30am to 6pm and Friday 8am to 5pm.
* Week 2 Thursday 8am to 5pm and Saturday 8am to 6pm.
Our service operates from 7am to 8pm (no awake shifts). Opportunities to pick up additional shifts up to 76 hours a fortnight.
Working with participants on the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), you will positively engage people with various physical and mental health disabilities, contributing to making a meaningful difference by building their capacity with daily living, confidence in accessing the community and within themselves.
What you will be doing:
* Aiding with daily life activities both at home (meal preparation and cleaning, etc.) and in the community (budgeting and shopping routines).
* Supporting individuals with their educational and work-related endeavours.
* Facilitating access to various community, social, and recreational activities.
* Assisting with transportation to enable access to daily activities and engagements.
Who We Are Looking For
* NSW Drivers license (can be on Green P Plates) and willingness to drive a company car.
* Possession of a valid NSW Working with Children Check and NDIS Workers Check is necessary.
* Holding a current First Aid Certificate is also a necessary qualification.
* Previous experience or qualifications in disability of young adults or aged care are desirable but not mandatory.

* Certificate III or IV or studying towards a course in Disability, Allied Health or equivalent.
