The Role:
This is an in-office role, as the Payroll Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our financial processes. Reporting directly into our CEO, you will be responsible for accurately processing payroll, managing accounts payable and receivable, and assisting with financial reporting tasks.

The Day-to-Day Duties:
* Process payroll accurately and efficiently, including maintaining employee records, calculating wages, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
* Manage accounts payable and receivable functions, including processing invoices, reconciling accounts, and preparing payments.
* Assist with month-end and year-end financial reporting tasks, such as journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analysis.
* Reconcile all credit card and bank statements
* Provide financial reporting to support the wider team
What are we looking for?
* Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
* Proven experience working in a finance or payroll role, with a strong understanding of payroll processing and accounting principles.
* Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel.
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
* Knowledge of Australian payroll regulations and compliance requirements is preferred.
