Your new role
Our client is seeking an experienced Defence Commercial Manager (NV1 or higher) to join their Newcastle team, Williamstown based.
A role which offers career progression, variety each day and the opportunity to contribute to Defence projects in way of commercial and contract management.
This role will both lead and support the commercial elements of the capability lifecycle, including procurement planning, tendering and contract formation, contract management and closure of contracts, comprising;
Contract Management
Undertake contract management activities, including payments, cost tracking, monitoring deliverables and contractor reporting, managing export controls (utilising CASG or AWSPO standard practices).
Implement a contract management framework and Implement procurement frameworks.
Market Engagement / Tender Development
Draft/update commercial elements of Approach to Market (ATM) pack, including conditions of tender and conditions of contract; Tender Evaluation
Contribute to the evaluation of the commercial elements of the tender responses, including leading the commercial TEWG; Contract Negotiations and Establishment
Provide strategic and tactical commercial advice with respect to formulation of negotiation positions and Contract Negotiation Directive (CND); Obtain SME endorsement for changes to ASDEFCON template, including MPB/legal clearance liability, insurance and IP provisions; What you'll need to succeed
Experience within the Defence industry, within a similar Commercial role Experience with CASG or AWSPO standard practices and ASDEFCON templates Ability to lead commercial activities for ATT&E Strong communication skills Process orientated with good attention to detail Minimum NV1 security clearance and be able to upgrade if required Must be able to relocate or currently living in Newcastle, NSW What you'll get in return
