About the Role:
The Group Governance Services (GGS) team at Monash University is responsible for providing secretariat services for the University Council and Academic Board, as well as governance advice and support to the Vice Chancellor and Chancellor.
This role plays a critical part in ensuring effective corporate governance and regulatory compliance, while also supporting the Executive Director in managing Council, committee, and entity activities.
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will require deep expertise in university/company secretary and governance responsibilities, as well as commercial legal practice experience. Qualifications in corporate governance are highly desirable.
You will need to demonstrate outstanding stakeholder management and communication skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with University Council members, senior management, and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide university and company secretariat services
* Act as Deputy University Secretary
* Ensure effective corporate governance and regulatory compliance
* Support the Executive Director in managing Council, committee, and entity activities
* Develop and implement governance policies and practices
