Sounds too good to be true, right? It’s not! Launceston Vet Clinic is a well-established Community Veterinary Hospital located in the heart of the city centre in Launceston, Tasmania. We are looking for an enthusiastic veterinarian to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will have an upbeat, empathetic personality to provide both our patients and clients with an exceptional level of care in a friendly, fun-loving, experienced, and supportive environment. Total clinical freedom with autonomy is encouraged. Our caseload consists of primarily small animal, pocket pets, birds, and occasional exotic animals from local wildlife parks. We have recently relocated to a fantastic purpose-built facility consisting of four consult rooms, two dedicated operating theatres, separate dentistry suite, Imaging with Digital x-ray, ultrasound, and dental radiography. Our vets are spoilt with highly experienced and compassionate veterinary nursing staff. Our hospital is exceptionally well equipped with an x-ray machine, dental x-ray machine, ultrasound, electrocautery, orthopaedic equipment, in-house blood machine and in-house microscope. Our clinic is open six days a week, 8:30 am to 6:30 pm on weekdays, and 9 am to 1 pm on Saturdays. We offer our clients an on-call service for emergency cases, for which applicants would need to participate and would be well compensated. We share our on-call cover with another local clinic, which means our clinic would be on-call Tuesdays, and every second Wednesday, with the other clinic covering the rest of the week and the weekend emergency Centre covering weekends. • If further education is something of interest, you will have full free entitlement to our Veterinary Training Centre • Family/lifestyle friendly work environment • Paid parental leave. • 4-day working week, and share in the rotation of Saturday mornings • Access to in-house mental health and general well-being workshops and an Employee Assistance Program • Sponsorship is available for eligible candidates and for interstate candidates relocation packages are on offer. • 4+ year PQE Veterinarian preferable.
