About the role:
In this vital position, your role will be to manage the production and warehouse teams and their performance, to meet production targets and to ensure a safe working environment in our Cheltenham plant. Additionally, you will also be responsibility for driving and executing our Total Productive Management (TPM) programme through implementing progressive change, through being a hands-on team member capable of guiding people and teams through continuous improvement. Gain recognition as you apply your experience in leadership and TPM, combined with on-the-job process expertise and stakeholder input to identify, prioritise, and manage multiple improvement projects.
This is the perfect site-based role if you are self-motivated, with a bias for action, a sense of urgency, and tendency to quickly take personal responsibility to drive improvement and culture shifts in manufacturing excellence.

What you will do:
4. Plan, organise and manage production to ensure that goods are produced safely, efficiently, on time, within budget and to standard.
5. Deliver on key metrics for production performance including labour utilisation, material usage, safety, and quality
6. Lead the site TPM programme to drive a cultural shift in continuous improvement including being a hands-on team member through the change process.
7. Ensure operational strategies are fully developed, agreed, implemented, and achieving desired performance measures.
8. Drive the TPM program to support the Plant Manager in the development of High-Performance Work Teams.
9. Promote the developing Ecolab Production System culture though training aligned with the TPM Academy training agenda and supporting manufacturing skills models to develop a Loss Analysis culture
10. Attend and participate in regional TPM meetings
To be successful, you will ideally have:
11. Several years’ experience in chemical/batch manufacturing, supply chain environment
12. Experience in coaching and influencing cross-functional teams, including team building, understanding motivation and negotiation techniques, and proving work direction to others
13. Proven experience in TPM Principals and methods (5S, Lean, Autonomous Maintenance, Planned Maintenance, Visual Management, and Kaizen etc) or other lean methodologies
14. SAP experience would be an advantage
Preferred qualifications and background:
15. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Logistics, Science or Business would be ideal
16. Proven experience encouraging process improvement projects or program management
17. Experience working with the implementation and oversight of Operational Excellence initiatives in a manufacturing environment
