Our client is a sports apparel brand based in Springvale, who are looking for immediate support within their Accounts Payable and Receivable team due to an increase in workload.
About the role
This position is an initial 3-month contract role with the opportunity for extension and/or permanent. The role is based 5 days out of their Springvale office. Sitting in sports apparel division, the Accounts Payable and Receivable Officer reports into the Financial Controller. Key responsibilities are as follows:
1. Receive and verify invoices, process payments accurately.
2. Manage vendor relationships and resolve discrepancies.
3. Record transactions and perform AP reconciliations.
4. Generate and issue invoices promptly, monitor collections.
5. Respond to customer inquiries and manage credit limits.
6. Allocate payments accurately and reconcile AR ledger.
7. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
8. Utilise accounting software for data entry and reporting.
About you
9. 2-5 years’ experience in Accounts Payable and Receivable functions with good understanding of accounting procedures.
10. High level of attention to detail with proven level of quality and accuracy of work.
11. Strong reconciliation skills.
12. Proactive research, analysis, and problem-solving skills.
13. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
14. Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and prioritise tasks in a high volume, fast paced environment.
15. True team player.
16. Intermediate level of Word and Excel.
