Full time, permanent opportunity | Starting at $113,341 + 11.5% super About the OpportunityAs part of our Infrastructure Program, as an Asset Planner, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction and management of the City of Adelaide's Park Lands and Urban Elements assets. Your expertise will guide financial investments and infrastructure services through comprehensive Strategic Asset Management Planning. In this role, you will develop lifecycle management strategies to minimise whole-of-life costs in alignment with community expectations and formulate risk management plans for critical assets. You will model service levels, risk, and budget scenarios to support informed decision-making. Working closely with internal and external stakeholders, you will ensure cohesive asset planning that meets community needs and aligns with strategic goals. As an Asset Planner, you will create and update asset management plans to guide the Long-Term Financial Plan, annual Business Plan, and Budget, while also developing and maintaining strategic asset management documentation. Managing a detailed five-year capital works and planned maintenance programs will be essential, as well as preparing briefs to initiate capital works projects. You will oversee periodic condition audits and revaluations, integrating data into the corporate Asset Management System. Your role will involve providing specialist advice on asset management strategies, policies, standards, risk, and technical requirements, while also leading technical professionals in asset management. Enhancing our Asset Management maturity and framework will be a key focus, along with offering input and advice on infrastructure technical standards. You will also apply for and report on grant funding applications and ensure WHS and Environmental legislative compliance. Some of the assets you'll be assisting in looking after for our beautiful city are: Street and Park Lands Trees and Landscaped Areas Playgrounds and Sportsfields Street Furniture, Public Art and Monuments About You We are seeking a candidate who has a genuine interest and a commitment to excellence in asset management. This entry-level role provides you with an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic team and drive positive change in our city's infrastructure. To be successful in this role, you'll need the following: Demonstrated experience in managing the planning and delivery of asset management programs for a large organisation and the ability to apply best practice asset management. High level of technical competence relating to assets and infrastructure management including knowledge of asset management principles, associated Acts, Regulations and legislation. Significant stakeholder management experience in a complex asset planning and project management environment. Demonstrated ability to take ownership and accountability for deliverables. Proven ability to think strategically, analyse complex situations, develop creative solutions and achieve outcomes that advance the Programs objectives and result in process or service improvement or value add.
